When
a new realm first starts out in the Feudal World, it is protected
for a short time against any adversaries that may want to
take advantage of your newly developing power. Call it a protection
from a higher power or a divine being if you will.
Realms under global immunity are unable to be the target
of combat, sorcery or espionage. A realm under global immunity
will also experience additional growth bonuses. However
realms under global immunity can still experience the effects
of any war penalties that your empire experiences as a whole.
At the start of every era, each realm will be under global
immunity for a total of 72 real life hours (ie 3 Game Years)
in which they can safely plan, build and strengthen their
realm for the upcoming era.
In addition, if you should be away from your realm for any
extended period, you have the option to put your realm into
"Away Mode". This allows your realm to be put
in a state of hibernation or freeze state. During this time
all statistics will remain frozen until the away mode is
disabled. Activating the away mode can take 24 real hours
to activate, after which you will be unable to login for
an additional 120 real hours (ie 5 Game Years). After this
time you can then deactivate your away mode.

Provinces under global immunity will be displayed
as a dullish colour in the "Empire Overview" screens
Serf growth are increased during the period of global immunity.
This is only applicable at the start of the Era
When selecting a target for hostile combat, spells or espionage,
realms under global immunity will not be displayed
Realms under global immunity will not be able
to view other empires other than their own
