For
simplicity, efficiency within any realm is broken into two
streams - one focuses on economy (ie approval rating) whilst
the other on military factors (ie morale rating)
Approval Rating : The output of all structures within your
realm will be affected by the approval rating. Having a
high approval rating will therefore boost the production
and effectiveness of your entire economy. For example, a
realm with 120% approval rating will experience a 20% increase
in the output of each individual structure.
Morale Rating : The strength of your military is measured
by their morale. A high morale rating will allow your military
units to fight at a high efficiency than they would normally.
In the same way, having a lower morale will cause your military
units to under-perform, increasing the casualty rate and reducing
their strength. For example, a contingent with 1,000 champions
(with 75% morale), will only perform as a 750 unit army even
though the casualty loss would be taken based on the full
1,000 units.
The table below outlines the limits of both approval/morale
ratings as well as the movement for each passing turn (per
0.5 months)

An important fact not mentioned yet is the neutral percentage
which is 100%. This means that both the approval and morale
ratings will gradually move towards 100% over time. For example
if you had 98.2% morale rating this will increase until 100%.
In much the same way, if you had a 103.4% approval this will
slowly decrease until 100% is reached
Morale and approval ratings can be influenced through a variety
of methods, including but not limited to sorcery / espionage
and through the outcome of wars. Not providing your people
with sufficient food and wages can also negatively effect
your morale and approval ratings and temporarily prevent them
from regenerating.
TIP : "The Sage" advisor can limit the lower approval
rating to instead reflect (90% - 125%). In much the same way
the Warlord can limit the lower values of realm morale ratings.
When a new era begins, all realms will automatically start
at the lowest efficiency factors

Centaurs morale/approval reduces by half the
normal amount (ie 0.1) each turn when not in war
Negative approval rating can be influenced by not providing enough food for your people Negative morale rating can be influenced by either not providing sufficient food for your people or wages for your military
