In
the Feudal World, valor is obtained through honourable actions.
For each valorous act you perform you will gain valor. In
the same way, your valor will be reduced for each dishonourable
act you perform.
Keep in mind that unlike most other statistics which reset
when the era ends, 50% of your accumulated valor will carry
through to the next round. Premium members will however, carry
through 100% of their accumulated valor into the next round
Valor is only
gained when your empire has declared war on another empire,
or if you are both in a mutual war

Valor can be gained through many differing methods, depending
on race, advisor type and playing styles. In order to achieve
the maximum amount of valor for any hostile action, it is
wise to choose an opponent whose relative landmass matches
your own. For example, if you are currently 1000 hectares
and your opponent is the same, you will attain 100% of the
valor amount for that action. However, if your opponent
is only 900 hectares; you will only recieve 75% of the valor
amount. It would be wise to note here that there are penalties
for performing hostile actions against realms that are 25%
smaller than you (relative land size) but there are no penalties
for hitting someone larger. The following table lists some
approximate examples

In addition to the above, an opponents fortitude rating
also determines the maximum gained valor. Therefore if you
performed a hostile action towards a realm with a moderate
fortitude rating you would only attain 50% of the valor
gained from the above calculation based on the comparative
landmass. Likewise, if you perform a hostile action on a
realm with a high fortitude rating you will instead lose
valor proportional to your total accumulated valor
The below table outlines the benefits/penalties of hostile
actions towards realms with the following fortitude levels

Valor Penalty (Based On Your Total
Valor)
|
Warning : While these penalties ensure that individual players
are not victimised by others looking to take advantage of
various situations, there have been numerous cases where valor
has been sacrificed by a few individual to ensure a war win
for their empire

No valor will be gained for your empire if no defensive stance
has been choosen, or if the "Fortify" defensive
stance is used. In this instance, valor gains will still be
available for your opposing empire
Valor will be reduced if you engage in combat, sorcery or
espionage against an opposing realm that is -25% of your current
land. This applies to both war and out of war scenarios
You do not recieve any valor for raze or pillage combat attacks
All realms automatically get 5 additional valor points per
real life hour
