the realm research areas that only affect an invidual, an
empire's research field will automatically affect all realms
within it. Naturally however, the costs associated with obtaining
this research is obviously higher than it would normally be
for an individual realm and there is no restrictions on who
can contribute.
Currently there are
five areas of research which can further improve the realms
within your empire.

Unlike realm research that requires time to
learn, Empire research has immediate effect and benefit all
realms within your empire. The cost of each research point
is based on the number of realms currently within your empire.
